Canelo vs Berlanga Tracking Towards Sell Out of T-Mobile Arena

- The PBC on Prime PPV card, headlined by Canelo Alvarez vs Edgar Berlanga is tracking towards a clean sellout of the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The card takes place on September 14 and features a star studded lineup, including Danny García, Erislandy Lara, Caleb Plant, Stephen Fulton and Rolly Romero.

The WBO Reorders Sebastian Fundora vs Terence Crawford Mandatory Title Bout; Crawford Vacates WBA Welterweight Title

- WBA Junior Middleweight Champion Terence “Bud” Crawford has vacated his WBA Welterweight title, the remaining piece of his undisputed welterweight reign. WBA World Welterweight Champion Eimantas Stanionis is now the WBA’s only welterweight champion.
- In other news, the WBO announced that they are reordering the mandatory bout between Crawford and its full junior middleweight champion, “The Towering Inferno” Sebastian Fundora. That bout was originally ordered in March. The sides have until a September 27 purse bid to reach a deal. The bout must take place before December 31.

Dmitry Bivol Silent On Domestic Violence Allegations As Ex-Wife Continues To Speak Out

Jaron Ennis vs Brian Norman Fight Falls Through After Monetary Dispute

- The proposed November 9 unification bout between Jaron “Boots” Ennis and Brian Norman Jr. has been declared “100% dead” by Ennis’s promoter, Eddie Hearn. The two sides could not come to an agreement on the purse for Norman. Norman’s manager, Adrian Clark joined Brunch Boxing to discuss why the team did not accept the deal.

Deontay Wilder Recovering From Torn Labrum, Will Continue His Career

- A source told Brunch Boxing that former WBC Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder recently underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder. Wilder had been nursing the injury for about a year. Wilder has decided against retirement and will continue his boxing career. He’s expected to return to the ring in late 2024 or early 2025.

Proposed Golden Boy Riyadh Season Card Reportedly In The Works For November

- ESPN’s Salvador “Chava” Rodriguez says a possible Golden Boy Riyadh Season card is in the works for November. The proposed matchups are Zurdo Ramírez vs Chris Billam Smith, Jose Ramírez vs Arnold Barboza, William Zepeda vs George Kambosos, Óscar Duarte vs Kenneth Sims Jr. and Bektemir Melikuziev vs Lester Martínez. The targeted date is November 16.

Michael Angeletti Targets Donaire, Rigo and Russell For Late Year Return

- PBC bantamweight Michael Angeletti (12-0, 7 KOs) joined Brunch Boxing for an interview. He mentioned that he would like to fight Nonito Donaire, Guillermo Rigondeaux and Gary Antonio Russell in his next bout.
