Martinez VERY aggressive pushing Ioka back most of the round. Ioka doing more body work to slow him down and ioka is pushing Martinez back. But not enough.

Ioka coming forward utilizing jabs to the body but Martinez is so physically strong he’s bullying ioka at times. Ioka fighting well and is still landing clean.

Martinez opting to fight on the back foot now, pot shotting. Ioka on the front foot, but Martinez is outboxing him.

Martinez may have broken his left hand. Ioka bossed that round. Body work was exceptional. He’s breathing heavy and has his elbows tucked heavy.

Martinez getting raked to the body big time here. Martinez keeps coming back as always, but he’s under real pressure here. Big round for Ioka.

Martinez has slowed greatly here. He’s favoring his nose and won’t open up because his ribs keep getting touched. Martinez has small bursts of flurries, but it isn’t enough. Martinez not responding to the body shots and Ioka is forcing him all over the ring. Ioka’s chin is on display here because martinez is landing BOMBS.

Ioka looking every bit his age, but the old champion won’t go, as he lands jabs to the stomach and lead rights. Puma shooting the left hook big time. More body work from Ioka. Martinez is beginning to come back here. Swing round. Martinez’s clean shots made it even

Round 9

Battle of the jabs. Both guys looking to control the pace. Ioka avoiding the hooks better by getting closer to Martinez’s chest. Another close round as they go to war.

Both guys trying to control pace, but once someone lands they both go for it big time. Ioka lands a left hook that has Puma dabbing at the nose. Puma looks gassed here. Right hand counters by Ioka and more body work is winning the round for him.

Every time Ioka lands a 1-2 Puma dabs the nose. Ioka bossing the round with counter right hands. Multiple rights to the body and Puma keels over. Martinez’s speed has given Ioka trouble all night. Clear round for Ioka.

Ioka controlling Martinez with the jab here and counter right hands continue to ruin Martinez’s day. As Martinez tried to back away, Ioka literally chased him down and lands body shots. Martinez slips, but a very close round.
