The bout for the vacant IBF Super Middleweight Championship between unbeaten fighters William Scull (22-0, 9 KOs) and Vladimir Shishkin (16-0, 10 KOs) is officially set. AGON Sports has confirmed that the fight will take place on October 19 in Falkensee, Germany. This marks a significant opportunity for both boxers as they aim to claim the IBF belt, previously held by Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez.
Scull and Shishkin reached an agreement last month to fight for the vacant title, successfully avoiding a purse bid. Both men are stepping into the ring for their first world title shot.
The IBF Super Middleweight title has been vacant since Alvarez relinquished it, with the Mexican icon holding a firm grip on the division since 2021. Now, Scull and Shishkin have the opportunity to become the first non-Canelo super middleweight champion in three years.
