Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) has officially announced one of the biggest boxing events of the year, featuring a pair of blockbuster fights that promise fireworks on February 1 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Headlining the PBC on Prime Video pay-per-view card will be an explosive clash between undefeated light heavyweight stars David “El Monstro” Benavidez and David Morrell Jr., with two world titles on the line.

In the co-feature, fans will witness a long-awaited rematch between WBC Featherweight Champion Brandon “The Heartbreaker” Figueroa and former unified champion Stephen Fulton Jr., revisiting their thrilling 2021 encounter.

The main event pits WBC Interim Light Heavyweight Champion David Benavidez (29-0, 24 KOs) against WBA Light Heavyweight Champion David Morrell Jr. (11-0, 9 KOs) in a battle of undefeated warriors. Both men are coming off career-defining unanimous decision victories in their light heavyweight debuts—Benavidez against former world champion Oleksandr Gvozdyk and Morrell against the hard-hitting Radivoje Kalajdzic.

“There was a lot of names on the table, but I wanted to give my fans the best fight possible,” said Benavidez. “I reached out to David Morrell and his team to make this happen, and we got the contract done. This fight really gonna be a banger! Two of the best in the division and two titles on the line, LFG!”

The seeds for this matchup were planted as far back as 2021, during their time at super middleweight. At the time, Benavidez suggested Morrell wasn’t ready for such a challenge, given his limited experience of only four fights. Now, with both fighters established as elite threats in the light heavyweight division, there’s no question of readiness.

Morrell, 26, has rapidly ascended the ranks, showcasing a rare combination of power, speed, and technical acumen. Despite having fewer professional bouts than his 27-year-old opponent, Morrell has proven his mettle in the ring and is eager to cement his status as the division’s top dog.

With their undefeated records on the line, this showdown will determine not only the division’s dominant force but also its future direction.

In the co-main event, Brandon Figueroa (25-1-1, 19 KOs) and Stephen Fulton Jr. (22-1, 8 KOs) will rekindle their fierce rivalry in a rematch nearly three years in the making.

Their first encounter in November 2021 was a Fight of the Year contender, with both men throwing a staggering 1,786 punches over 12 rounds. Fulton emerged victorious with a majority decision, unifying the WBO and WBC super bantamweight titles. Since then, both fighters have moved up to featherweight and sharpened their skills in the process.

Figueroa has been on a three-fight win streak, defeating Carlos Castro, Mark Magsayo, and Jessie Magdaleno. Meanwhile, Fulton recently claimed a solid victory over Castro in September.

Adding to the hit parade, former world champion Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz (26-3-1, 18 KOs) will take on Angel Fierro (22-2-2, 17 KOs) in an all-Mexican showdown. Cruz is looking to rebound from a shocking loss to Jose “Rayo” Valenzuela on August 3, where he relinquished his WBA Junior Welterweight Championship.

There was initial talk of a rematch between Cruz and Valenzuela, but both teams opted to explore other opportunities for the time being. Fierro presents a dangerous challenge for Cruz.

The night will open with rising star Jesus Ramos (21-1, 17 KOs) taking on former unified champion Jeison Rosario (24-4-2, 18 KOs). Ramos, who is coming off a May 4 victory against Johan Gonzalez, will look to maintain his momentum against the veteran Rosario, who is coming off a controversial draw against Jarrett Hurd.

To kick off the event, a press conference is scheduled for Tuesday, November 19, in Los Angeles.
