Chordale Booker got a taste of the big time, and now he’s determined to return to that stage as soon as possible. The Connecticut native is set to step back into the ring on August 16, squaring off against Patrick Allotey at the Royale Nightclub in Boston, Massachusetts.
The matchup comes full circle for Booker, as Allotey was originally slated to face him before Booker received a surprise title shot against towering contender Sebastian Fundora this past March. While Booker ultimately came up short in that bout, the experience reminded him that he has the skills to compete with boxing’s elite.
“I will bounce back,” Booker reflected after the bout. “You will see me again.”

Now refocused and hungry, Booker is setting his sights on some of the sport’s biggest names. His team has made it clear that they’re aiming high following his Boston return.
“We [Team Booker] are going for Josh Kelly, Errol Spence, or Keith Thurman fight after August 16 fight,” Booker’s manager Paul Guarino confirmed in a statement to Brunch Boxing.
With Allotey standing in the way of those marquee opportunities, Booker knows he needs to make a statement on fight night. A win could open the door for blockbuster matchups that would not only put his name among the division’s elite but also serve as the spark to reignite his chase for greatness.
