Those are the words Brandon Moore lives by, and tonight he plans to make sure every fight fan in Detroit remembers his name. At the iconic Fox Theater, Salita Promotions presents BIG TIME BOXING USA, headlined by a banger of a heavyweight matchup between knockout artists Brandon Moore and DeAndre Savage.

In an exclusive interview with Brunch Boxing, Moore, who calls himself “America’s next great heavyweight,” shared his excitement for the showdown and reflected on the road that brought him here.

That journey wasn’t a traditional one. Before lacing up gloves, Moore was a successful accountant, earning a six-figure salary and a reputation for precision with a calculator. But the lure of boxing proved irresistible. He traded his pen and spreadsheets for the grind of the gym, swapping balance sheets for body shots.

Moore quickly climbed the ranks the hard way, taking on the toughest tests available. His biggest challenge came against Olympic silver medalist Richard Torrez Jr., a high-risk bout that few prospects would take on so early in their careers. For Moore, it was the perfect match-up.

“If they got a zero, I’m gonna give them their first one,” he declared.

Though he ultimately fell short in a controversial stoppage, Moore turned that setback into motivation. The defeat became a spark to sharpen his skills and elevate his ring IQ.

“After I lost to Richard, I started studying the game. I’m like, ‘Man, these guys doing a lot of different things in there.’ They look simple, but they’re very, very strategic moves,” Moore explained.

Since then, he has taken cues from masters of the craft—Shakur Stevenson, Bernard Hopkins, and Freddie Pendleton—incorporating their subtle strategies into his own style.

Now, with lessons learned and confidence renewed, Moore is looking to hand DeAndre Savage the first loss of his career and add another zero to his collection, as he makes his climb up the heavyweight ladder.

When the dust settles, everyone will know exactly who did what.

“It’s going to be a wild knockout,” Moore promised.
