Matchroom Boxing on DAZN Recap, Results and Grades. Plus results from the rest of the boxing weekend: highlight a good boxing weekend.
The eyes of the boxing world descended upon Manchester, as a junior welterweight clash between Jack Catterall and Regis Prograis headlined the first ever boxing event at Co-op Live. The battle of junior welterweights was only part of a thin boxing weekend that also featured the return of one of the best welterweights in the world, and the crowning of a new champion.
Brunch Boxing was there to cover every punch, knockdown, and story behind the gloves. Here’s a full breakdown of the event, from results to grades, plus results from around the world in this action-packed, drama-filled weekend of boxing.

Jack Catterall earned a hard-fought unanimous decision victory over former two-time junior welterweight champion Regis Prograis. The bout started out very slowly, with both fighters not throwing or landing many punches. Prograis scored a fifth round after Catterall’s glove touched the canvas. Catterall put Prograis down two times in the ninth round, but was unable to finish off Prograis. A cautious Catterall decided to run out the clock on the wild swinging Prograis. In the end, the judges sided with Catterall, with scores of 116-109, 116-109, and 117-108.
What’s Next:
Catterall wants to fight for a world title in his next bout. The winner of the December 7th, IBF Junior Welterweight Championship bout between Liam Paro and Richardson Hitchins is the most realistic option. Catterall and his promoter, Eddie Hearn mentioned the possibility of a bout with WBO Junior Welterweight Champion Teofimo Lopez, but Lopez is in litigation with his own promoter and is on the shelf indefinitely.
Prograis intimated that he will retire from the sport of boxing, but later walked it back and talked about moving up in weight instead. No matter what he does next, it’s clear that he is done at the top level.
