Lester Martinez Set For July 12 Bout Near San Diego

Top super middleweight contender “The Legend Killer” Lester Martinez (19-0, 16 KOs) will return to the ring on July 12 for his second fight of 2025, headlining a ProBox TV event at Front Wave Arena in Oceanside, California.
The unbeaten Guatemalan powerhouse will face French veteran Pierre Dibombe in an action-packed main event just north of San Diego.
Martinez, 29, has built a reputation as one of the most dangerous rising stars at 168 pounds. With 16 knockouts in 19 professional wins, the knockout artist has steamrolled most of his opposition, including his most recent victim, Joeshon James, who was outgunned and overwhelmed by Martinez’s relentless attack earlier this year.
A former amateur standout, Martinez burst onto the professional scene with a statement-making debut—knocking out former world champion Ricardo Mayorga. Since then, he has carved a path of destruction through the division with his aggressive style, thudding power, and relentless pressure.
Nicknamed “The Legend Killer,” Martinez has made it clear that he’s gunning for the sport’s elite and eager to showcase his skills on a larger stage. A dominant win over Dibombe could move him even closer to a title shot in a super middleweight division loaded with talent.
