On Saturday, October 19, Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) presents a huge junior middleweight showdown between former WBO Junior Middleweight Champion Tim Tszyu (24-1, 17 KOs) and unbeaten IBF Junior Middleweight Champion Bakhram Murtazaliev (22-0, 16 KOs). The fight will take place at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida, and will be streamed live on Prime Video, marking the first non-PPV event in PBC’s new partnership with Amazon.
This bout is a pivotal moment for both fighters, as Murtazaliev defends his IBF title for the first time, and Tszyu looks to reclaim championship status after a grueling loss earlier this year.
The road to this fight has been filled with twists. Initially, Tim Tszyu was set to face Erickson Lubin in an IBF eliminator, but Lubin withdrew due to injury. This cleared the way for Tszyu to challenge Murtazaliev directly, bypassing the purse bid process that was looming in early September.
This fight represents a chance at redemption for Tszyu. After suffering a narrow split-decision loss to Sebastian Fundora in March, where he relinquished his WBO junior middleweight title, Tszyu is on a mission to bounce back and make a statement. His relentless style and power will be put to the test against Murtazaliev, who brings a perfect record and a reputation for precise, technical boxing.
“This fight is my vengeance. I went through hell in my last fight, but now I’m back, and I’m ready to show everyone that I’m still the man at 154-pounds. Murtazaliev is just another monster in my path, and I’m going to take him down,” said Tszyu.
The quiet but powerful Murtazaliev is less concerned with the media spotlight, preferring to focus on the fight itself. “I don’t care about the hype. Saturday night, all the talking stops. I’m here to keep my title and prove I belong among the best in this division,” he remarked.
Brian Custer, Keith Thurman and Brian Campbell will call the action, with Jordan Plant and Claudia Trejos reporting from ringside.
Fans can catch the fight live on Amazon Prime Video, with the main card telecast beginning at 08:00PM EST. BrunchBoxing.com will also provide live, round-by-round coverage.

What’s At Stake: Murtazaliev’s IBF Junior Middleweight Championship
Analysis: Murtazaliev’s ability to control distance and utilize his jab will be critical. Tszyu thrives in close-quarters exchanges, so Murtazaliev must maintain the fight on the outside. Tszyu has knockout power, especially in mid-range exchanges. Murtazaliev needs to avoid staying in the pocket for too long. Murtazaliev can capitalize on Tszyu’s aggression by setting traps and countering with precision. He’ll need to rely on his technical skills and pick his spots wisely.
Tszyu is known for relentless forward pressure, which will be crucial to break down Murtazaliev’s defenses. By cutting off the ring, Tszyu can force Murtazaliev into uncomfortable exchanges. Tszyu should invest early in body shots to slow Murtazaliev’s movement. A well-timed body attack could set up a late knockout. Coming off a tough loss, Tszyu’s mindset will play a key role. He needs to stay disciplined and not get reckless, especially when facing a fighter as patient and calculated as Murtazaliev.
