The International Boxing Federation (IBF) has set a purse bid date for the heavyweight showdown between Martin Bakole (21-1, 16 KOs) and Agit Kabayel (25-0, 17 KOs). The bout, which will determine the mandatory challenger for IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois, is scheduled for a purse bid on November 5. Both fighters’ teams still have the opportunity to negotiate and reach a deal before that date, but if no agreement is reached, the purse bid will dictate the terms for the bout.

The winner of Bakole vs. Kabayel will secure the coveted status of mandatory challenger, positioning himself as the next in line for a shot at Dubois’ heavyweight title. However, Dubois is allowed to make a voluntary title defense while awaiting the outcome of this eliminator.
Promotional representation for both fighters is strong, with Bakole backed by Ben Shalom’s Boxxer Promotions and Kabayel under the guidance of Ulf Steinforth’s SES Boxing.
Both Bakole and Kabayel are coming off notable wins. Kabayel impressed fans with a knockout victory over Frank Sanchez in May on the undercard of Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Not to be outdone, Bakole secured a stunning stoppage against Jared Anderson on August 3, fighting on the undercard of Ismail Madrimov vs. Terence Crawford.
