The Golden Girl is back on the world stage.
2024 Olympic gold medalist Imane Khelif will return to the ring at the 8th edition of the Eindhoven Box Cup, marking her first major international tournament appearance since her historic Olympic triumph for Algeria. The prestigious event will be held in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, from June 5 to June 10 at the Eindhoven Hotel.
Khelif will be defending her 145-pound title, which she captured in last year’s tournament after a commanding victory over Marissa Williamson.
During her Olympic run, Khelif became a lightning rod for dirty politics and ideology after false accusations were made about her gender.
Her return to the public eye and boxing adds star power to what is billed as the “biggest boxing event in Europe.”
Tournament organizers welcomed Khelif’s participation with enthusiasm, stating, “Proud that Imane Khelif is there again to defend her title!”

After capturing Algeria’s first-ever Olympic gold medal in women’s boxing in Paris last year, Khelif has become a symbol of national pride and a global ambassador for the sport. Her presence at the Eindhoven Box Cup is expected to draw attention from fans, media, and aspiring boxers around the world.
The tournament promises a packed schedule of bouts over six days, with elite amateur talent from across the globe competing. But all eyes will be on Khelif as she looks to continue her run and defend her title on European soil.
