Oleksandr Usyk will have the opportunity to reclaim the undisputed heavyweight title. Standing in his way is a familiar foe who firmly believes he should already be the undisputed champion.

IBF Heavyweight Champion Daniel Dubois will step into the ring against the unified WBO, WBA, and WBC champion, Queensberry Promotions announced today. Their highly anticipated rematch is set for July 19 at London’s iconic Wembley Stadium, live on DAZN pay-per-view.
The bout is a direct sequel to their controversial August 2023 encounter in Wroclaw, Poland—a fight that still fuels heated debate. In the fifth round of that clash, Dubois landed a body shot that was ruled a low blow by the referee. Many observers believed the punch was clean and that Usyk, who appeared unlikely to beat the count, should have been counted out. Instead, Usyk was given nearly five minutes to recover, regrouped, and stormed back to stop Dubois in the ninth round.

Now, Dubois believes he’s better equipped—and more motivated—than ever to settle the score.
“This is the fight I wanted and demanded, and now I get my chance for revenge against Oleksandr Usyk,” Dubois said in a statement. “I should have won the first fight and was denied by the judgment of the referee, so I will make no mistake this time around in front of my people at the national stadium in my home city. I am a superior and more dangerous fighter now, and Usyk will find this out for himself on July 19. I would like to thank my promoter Frank for making this happen for me, and I intend to repay him by becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.”

Usyk, for his part, remains focused on reclaiming what he views as rightfully his.
“I’m grateful to God for the opportunity to once again fight for the undisputed championship,” said Usyk. “Thank you, Daniel, for taking care of my IBF belt—now I want it back.”
Usyk ascended to undisputed status in May 2024 when he defeated Tyson Fury in a historic clash for all four heavyweight titles. However, he was forced to relinquish the IBF crown in order to honor a contracted rematch with Fury. As a result, the IBF elevated its interim champion Dubois to full world champion, while Usyk retained the WBO, WBA, and WBC belts. After Usyk secured a second consecutive victory over Fury, Dubois wasted no time—jumping into the ring post-fight to confront the Ukrainian and demand a rematch.

Now, Dubois finally gets his wish—and this time, all the heavyweight marbles will be on the line.
The winner of the bout will have two mandatory obligations to fulfill. Dereck Chisora is the IBF mandatory and Interim WBO Heavyweight Champion Joseph Parker is the WBO mandatory, but for now, it’s all about undisputed.
The buildup to July 19 officially begins on Tuesday, when Usyk and Dubois will come face-to-face at a kickoff press conference.
