A newly surfaced audio recording has reignited conversations surrounding the fractured relationship between Al Haymon and Floyd Mayweather.
The recording, released by rapper Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, appears to feature Haymon speaking with former Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe about an undisclosed situation involving Mayweather. During the conversation, Haymon is heard saying they are "going to put his little ass in the ground."
Neither the authenticity of the recording nor the circumstances surrounding the conversation have been independently confirmed. In addition, it remains unclear how Jackson obtained the audio or who recorded what appears to have been a private discussion.
The alleged recording arrives months after Mayweather launched a major legal battle connected to his longtime business relationships.

In February, the boxing legend filed a lawsuit against Showtime and former network executive Stephen Espinoza. The complaint seeks to recover what Mayweather claims are hundreds of millions of dollars in allegedly misappropriated funds and damages tied to what he describes as a long-running financial fraud scheme.
According to the lawsuit, Mayweather alleges that his longtime advisor, Al Haymon, played a central role in the scheme. He also claims Haymon received substantial participation and assistance from Showtime and its former president, Stephen Espinoza.
Despite those allegations, Haymon was not named as a defendant in the lawsuit.
In 2024, Leonard Ellerbe and Mayweather Promotions parted ways. The split was described as a forced resignation to Brunch Boxing.
Ellerbe had been one of the company's most recognizable figures since Mayweather Promotions launched in 2007. Throughout that time, he served as one of Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s closest confidants and most vocal representatives.
