The long-awaited clash between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury is edging closer to reality. Fans have heard this before, but now it may finally deliver on its promise.
In a recent interview with IFL TV, promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed that negotiations have reached an advanced stage. He sounded confident that both sides are finally aligned.
According to Hearn, the current plan includes two fights. The first could take place in November and stream on DAZN. A rematch may follow on Netflix.
Before any showdown, Joshua will return to the ring in July. However, Hearn made it clear that fans should not expect a dangerous opponent. Joshua still needs to recover fully from the mental and physical strain of his December car accident.

The fight’s location remains undecided. Hearn pointed to Turki Alalshikh as the key decision-maker. He suggested the venue will depend on where Alalshikh wants the event staged.
Hearn still hopes the bout lands in the United Kingdom. That outcome would give British fans a historic night on home soil. Still, other global venues remain in play.
This rivalry has teased fans for years.
Joshua and Fury have circled each other for more than five years. Talks have come close before, but each attempt fell apart. Back in 2020, Fury even claimed that murderous drug lord Daniel Kinahan had secured the deal. Despite that claim, the fight never materialized.

This time, Hearn insists things are different. He believes the agreement is genuine and nearing completion.
Both fighters also enter these talks with recent wins. Fury earned a unanimous decision over Arslanbek Makhmudov just two weeks ago.
Joshua, on the other hand, scored a knockout victory over Jake Paul.
